Works closely with a multi-disciplinary team of computer, computational, and climate scientists to ensure that components of the DOE Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) ( http://e3sm.org/ ) execute efficiently on the upcoming Aurora exaflop supercomputer as well as other upcoming exascale architectures. Also works with several DOE national laboratories working together to investigate pressing climate problems using the latest advanced supercomputing resources. Designs, ports and optimizes E3SM for the upcoming DOE exascale architectures.
- Experience developing code in a high-performance computing environment.
- Familiarity with details of modern HPC architectures.
- Ability to publish, promote, and advocate new insights and approaches.
- Ability to collaborate with computer, computational, and climate scientists.
- Bachelor’s and 5+ years; Master’s and 3+ years; Doctorate and 0 years, or equivalent.
