Under the supervision of the Foreman and the direction of the Stationary Engineer performs preventative maintenance and makes minor repairs to all building and related auxiliary equipment for the Steam Plant and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) facility.
You will start, stop and operate all Steam Plant and CHP equipment, handle all steam plant chemicals for boiler water treatment. Response for cleaning and assigning auxiliary areas as required. Consequently, job incumbent may be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
- A minimum of 1 year or equivalent or related experience in operating steam plant equipment.
- Stationary Engineer`s license is required or you will be required to obtain a Stationary Engineers license within one year of starting in the position (Selected candidate must obtain license on their own time within 12 months).
